Today all the children at school brush their teeth at home which is so good to hear. The children got some new tooth brushes from us as well. We also did a trip to a water park outside Siem Reap with 196 children! It was so much fun! After the park all the children got lunch and after lunch they went to visit one of the magnificent temples; Tha Phrom. It was a pleasure to see all the happy faces!

The school is finally open again!

March 2020
The government of Cambodia has closed all schools due to Covid-19. Mr. Mattias & Seng Nga English School follows the government's decision and since the 23 of March, 2020, all teaching in English has taking a break. We keep our thumbs that this will soon be over, in our entire world, so that we can return to our normal routines again!

They visited the temples of Angkor, eat lunch and took a bath in West Baray, a hand made lake, just outside Siem Reap town. In the afternoon, just before they went home, they made a stop for buying bamboo cakes (and eat some too!). The students really enjoyed the trip which was supported by the fund of Mr. Mattias in Sweden. Special thanks to Chonn who arranged it all!
February 2016
In February we visited the school and did the final work to complete the new building at Mouy Makara! We met all the children at Mouy Makara and Mr. Mattias & Seng Nga English School and it was great to see them again!
We started the new tooth brushing program, which means that all the children got a toothbrush to keep in their classroom and the teachers, in every class, is in charge to help the children brush their teeth every day! The Swedish dentist nurse; Jenny Gren, together with Chonn, helped the children to get started by giving information about their teeth and then help to brush! In the end of the week, when the building was complete, we inaugurated the new house! The children got bananas, bread, chips and a soda! After the meal they brushed their teeth and then we played at the schoolyard! Its been a great time and we would like to thank all the donors for helping the children get better teeth! THANK YOU!!!
December 2015
In Sweden schools are supporting our projects and we feel very thankful for the commitment that a lot of children show!
A school in Malmö (south of Sweden), called Runstycket, did a great job by selling bracelets the students have made them selves! The students are around 10-13 years old and they started their business by having a competition to find out what the text (on the bracelets) should tell! The winner was "FIGHT 4 SCHOOL"!
A small school outside Eslöv, called Änglagård, is a school for very young children. The children was talking about toilets because their own was renovated and they were concerned about the children in Cambodia and their need of toilets... As they had a show for their parents they decided to collect money and support our project "building new toilets at Mouy Makara". They also collected tooth brushes and pencils for the children at Mr. Mattias & Seng Nga English School!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
February 2015
In February me and my husband visited the school. We brought a letter from a Swedish class and the children in one of the classes replied it! In another class they painted pictures for a Swedish school! We also got the opportunity to meet Tine from "Pack the Essentials" and helped her to serve the students a nutritious meal! Its really nice to meet our wonderful teachers and the lovely students and you can see that they really like their school! The English is getting better and better every year!
January 2015
In the beginning of January my parents visited the school! My dad brought 12 sticks for playing outdoor hockey and the children really enjoyed it! It seems like my dad enjoyed it too! They also brought around 800 tooth brushes and gave one for each student!
November 2014
Since October Michael from Sweden has supported our school by teaching the oldest students twice a week! Michael and his friends also provide a movie night via a projector to enhance the experience! The students have seen "Frozen" and "The jungle book" so far! A small mobile library have also gained a place at the school thanks to Michael!
Michael with friends also started a new project in Siem Reap Province; "Pack the Essentials" which means the students will be served a nutritious meal at school! It´s really great and we hope this project will grow big! Michael will stay until December.
