Building new toilets and sinks at "Mouy Makara" September 2015 - February 2016
In August 2015 all the plans were made for the new building at Mouy Makara School. Thanks to a lot of sponsers/donors we can help the students to use toilets and sinks all time of the year, not only in the dry season. The problem before was a lot of water around the toilets during the rainy season which made it unreachable. As you can see in the photos the building is taking shape! The students were happy to help the workers tear down the walls of the old toilet house! In February 2016 we all (me, my family, my friend and our Cambodian teachers and workers) worked at the school and the building is now finished! The toilets and sinks are ready to use and the tooth brushing program have started! The children were happy to use the new house and we would like to thank all the donors for helping us make this project come true! THANK YOU!

Moving our school to "Mouy Makara" September/October 2014
We have more than 90 students now and there is too less space for them to play at our school. We had to options; build a new school or borrow/rent a classroom at a local school. Our dream is to build an own school but it would take years to save money for that. We were lucky, the primary school "Mouy Makara" in the village, let us borrow two classrooms! In September we moved our school to Mouy Makara! Now we just need electricity so we can run the late lessons but it´s soon done and we can start! There are 200 students at Mouy Makara.
We also have a new teacher for four months; Michael! He is a 28 year old Swedish teacher and he will teach our oldest students from Mr. Mattias & Seng Nga English School at Mouy Makara two days a week! We really appreciate his support! -THANK YOU Michael!!!
New project at the local school "Run Kal Dal" 2013/2014
In November 2013 we decided to help the local school "Run Kal Dal" by building new toilets and sinks. We also decided to drill a new well. The "Run Kal Dal" school is located close to Mr. Mattias & Seng Nga English School and there is around 400 pupils. This project is sponsored by the fund of Mr. Mattias, Annebro School and Erik Oddmo in Sweden. In January 2014 we visited "Run Kal Dal" and continued the work with the toilets and sinks. Jenny Gren also informed the children about their teeth and around 300 children got a toothbrush and a toothpaste to use! The 13th of January 2014 around 250 children cleaned their teeth in their new "house"!
A new well, February 2013!
In February 2013 the school got the possibility to have their own well! The idea is to let the children and the families around the school access clean water. It took a few weeks to drill the well but now it´s ready to use!!! The well is sponsored by the fund of Mr. Mattias in Sweden.
Since October 2013 there is a nice sink and the children can brush their teeth every day!

Tooth brushing project, January 2013
In January 2013 we started a new project at the school: Tooth brushing! Jenny Gren, a friend of Jenny Johansson, works as a dentist nurse in Sweden. Together with Chonn and Jenny she did a great job by giving the children information about their teeth; how to clean them and the importance of cleaning them 2 times a day! The children enjoyed the time and they were very brave and skilled! Jenny Gren also examined the children to get a perception about the condition of their teeth. All the children got a toothbrush and some toothpaste! The school´s idea is to help the children clean their teeth at least one time per day!
